If you are reading this, hi! You're probably considering purchasing a design or adoptable from me (For the purposes of this document, "me" indicates: pawstepsinthesnow on deviantArt, Toyhouse, Weasyl, Discord. pawstepsinthesnow.com at Bluesky). If so, thank you very much.
If you purchase a design or adoptable, you must agree to these rules.
I retain copyright to all designs, HOWEVER, on purchase, you obtain a transferable license to use, display, and modify the artwork and design concept as you see fit; including rights for commercial use (this includes printing my artwork or your own drawings of the character on commercial goods or using them in commercial products). The sole requirement for use of this character is that design credits are listed in an appropriate place for the use. Credit can be given to any one or more of the above-listed sites.
If you purchase a design or adoptable from me, you MAY resell it for more than the original purchase price as long as I am still credited as the original designer. This transfers the above granted license, and all terms above and below will apply to the new purchaser.
You may edit the design you purchased freely, but do not make small edits and then claim it as your own work. Additionally, do not copy any design I have created and claim it as your own work, regardless of whether you have purchased it or not.
You may create additional versions of the design you purchased for: other ARPG/CS ports, humanized designs, etc. without notifying me or requiring my permission. HOWEVER, you may not copy this design for resale while retaining ownership of the original design. If a new version of a design is substantially derived from the original design, please do list me in the design credits as applicable. The exception is for designs like breedables, in which a new original design is created using inspiration from this design. I will not require credit for designs inspired by my designs that are not directly derived from them (i.e. directly copying markings). The disinction here is being left to purchaser discretion, and if I feel that this is being abused, I reserve the right to take action.
You may not use the purchased design in any way that promotes hate speech or discrimination towards any group of people. By purchasing, you accept all liability regarding your use of the design-- that means it is your responsibility to follow your jurisdiction's local laws in all matters regarding use of the design.
I reserve the right to add additional rules and rewrite this ToS at any time, especially if there is abuse.
Individual Closed Species may have their own ToSes. Any rules there supersede the rules listed here.
All rules in the above section also apply, unless contradicted by a rule below.
Resales of any closed or semi-open species adoptables must be done through their respective masterlists.
If there are violations of these rules, you will be warned. If there are further violations, you will be blacklisted from all future sales and blocked on any relevant platforms.
